About AAUW The American Association of University Women is a national organization that promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive social change. The AAUW offers scholarships, action for gender equity, and support for personal and professional growth, community leadership, and friendship.
Since its first meeting in 1881, AAUW has been a catalyst for change. Today, with more than 100,000 members, 1,300 branches, and 500 college and university partners, AAUW contributes to a more promising future and provides a powerful voice for women and girls—a voice that cannot and will not be ignored.
AAUW in Montana Members of our twelve branches enjoy the opportunity to meet other professional women in their regular meetings and social gatherings geared toward their special interests. Monthly meetings feature speakers discussing current events and women's issues.
Education AAUW is dedicated to education and with this as our primary focus, many of our branches offer annual collegiate scholarships. They also contribute to the Educational Foundation, which supports graduate students and funds national research studies and community action grants.
